Emma Punter
Counselling Psychologist (DPsych)
I provide one to one therapy to adults and adolescents in Chelsea and the City of London. Through my work I support individuals to develop a better and more in-depth understanding of their emotions and behaviours. I help individuals to develop strategies to manage difficult or uncomfortable feelings and to change undesirable patterns of behaviour. I work collaboratively, supporting individuals in working towards a life that feels authentic, fulfilling and meaningful.
Counselling, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychological Assessments.
I offer psychological therapy for a range of issues such as: depression, anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, self-harm, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, addiction, drug abuse, bipolar disorder, relationship difficulties, anger, stress, work related stress, gender, identity, sexuality, loss and grief, and personal growth.
I work with individuals of all ages, and have specialist experience working with young people and adolescents.
As a counselling psychologist I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic and Person-Centred therapies. I have over seven years' experience of working with individuals in the NHS and privately. My theoretical approach is predominantly integrative, meaning I draw on a range of theories and techniques to tailor therapy to best suit the person's needs.
I take an active approach to the therapy, contributing towards a client’s progress and helping them work towards living a life that is more rewarding and consistent with how they wish to live and what they wish to achieve.
